PROTEIN RICH FOOD: Your Hair is made up of protein fibers, so naturally you should consume foods which are rich in protein. You can find high protein in dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheese. Meat also provide good amount of protein such as chicken, fish, beef etc.

ZINC RICH FOOD: Low serum zinc levels are associated with hair loss in both men and women. Much of the Western world is deficient in zinc, those high hair-loss statistics makes sense. Oysters are good source for zinc, other high sources of zinc include walnuts, spinach, pastured eggs, sunflower seeds and chickpeas.

HEALTHY FAT: Oils like coconut oil and olive oil provide body-supporting compounds like medium-chain triglycerides and vitamin E, both of which keep the skin supple and hair looking lush and hydrated. A study of 2014 found that men with mild to moderate androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness) who supplemented with 400 milligrams of pumpkin seed oil for 24 weeks had greater scalp hair thickness and greater scalp hair count than the control group.

VITAMIN D: Research shows that a lack of vitamin D in your body can lead to hair loss. One role vitamin D plays is stimulating new and old hair follicles. When there isn’t enough vitamin D in your system, new hair growth can be stunted. Reasons for insufficient vitamin D levels include spending more time indoors, wearing a lot of sunscreen, and not eating foods packed with the nutrient.

MEDICATION: Propecia is used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss on the vertex and the anterior mid-scalp area. Male pattern hair loss is a common condition in which men experience thinning of the hair on the scalp. Often, this results in a receding hairline and/or balding on the top of the head.
